17.3.2010 Bright light therapy light- Kubo won red dot design 2010 –award
Finnish company Innojok Oy ltd, behind innovative design light fixtures, has won the valued red dot design award 2010. INNOSOL ® Kubo was chosen as the winner in the product design category for excellent design and innovative approach.
Recognized Finnish designer, professor h.c. Eero Aarnio created a figurative lamp with two functions in one: design table lamp and bright light therapy lamp. Kubo is constructed of three cubes of different sizes. The design lamp suits well to be placed on the floor, table or for e.g. wide window board and can be easily used for reading.
INNOSOL ® Kubo bright light therapy lamp convinced the international jury, who judges the entries by uncompromising criteria, such as functionality, durability, ecological factors but above all, innovation and quality. Previous winners are e.g. Apple, BMW and Nokia.
Red dot design award winners will be on display at the www.red-dot.de pages from July and on, red dot year book and on an exhibition at the red dot design museum in Germany. This year there were over 4200 submissions from 57 countries.

The red dot design award origins go back to 1955 and it is one of the largest and most renowned design competition worldwide. It consists of the individual disciplines “red dot award: product design”, “red dot award: communication design”, and “red dot award: design concept”.

12.2.2010 ”The electrical engineer on the Year 2010” –title to Jukka Jokiniemi
Electrical engineering association (Sähköinsinööriliitto) of Finland awarded Managing Director, Dr. Sc. Tech. (Architecture) Jukka Jokiniemi with ”The electrical engineer on the Year” – acknowledgement at the opening of the Sähkö, Tele, Valo and AV 2010 Fair in Jyväskylä.
The award is granted every other year and this year managing director of ABB Oy, Mr. Mikko Niinivaara, who also gave the opening speech at the fare, donated the acknowledgement. Jokiniemi’s unconventional and innovative activities in the field of lighting planning, light fixture design and visually impaired entrepreneur were mentioned as basis for the award. In addition, Jokiniemi is known to be persistent spokesman for accessibility of build environment and has positive outlook on life.
Jokiniemi found his company in 1993 in Helsinki Finland. Innojok is developing, designing, manufacturing and selling high quality, Finnish-made bright light therapy lamps, interior light fixtures and design lights. Innojok provides consultation on lighting planning for public and private sector. INNOSOL ® bright light therapy lamps and INNOLUX DESIGN lamps are exported to some 25 countries. Managing Director, Dr. Sc. Tech. (Architecture) Jukka Jokiniemi has 25 years of experience in the field of light. His Doctoral Thesis on “City for All Senses – Accessibility and Cross-modality in Built Environment” was published in 2007.

3.2.2010 Interior innovation award cologne 2010
Swan and Double Bubble table lamps, which were nominated for the Interior Innovation Award Cologne 2010. During the Imm Cologne 2010 all nominated products were presented for the visitors in a special exhibition. The nominees were selected among hundreds of products, the final nominee list consisted of 25 products. Swan and Double Bubble are designed by Eero Aarnio and are part of Innojok product selection.
IMM COLOGNE 2010 HITGUIDE highlights innovations - trends
INNOSOL Kubo (Eero Aarnio) and part of INNOLUX DESIGN collection, Lokki (Yki Nummi) lamps passed the selection criteria for imm Cologne 2010 HitGuide. The annual fair catalogue lists the highlights, innovations and trends picked out among hundreds of products.
INNOSOL Kubo is a figurative, Bright Light therapy lamp designed by Eero Aarnio. The lamp is constructed of three cubes of different sizes. Kubo also ensures a soothing and delightful atmosphere, with its clean geometric lines and playful design. Kubo suits well on the floor, table or for e.g. wide window board.
Yki Nummi (1925-1984), who designed “LOKKI†in 1959, is considered one of the most extraordinary Nordic designers of the ‘50s to the ‘70s. His countless designs consistently earned awards and recognition from the industry, e.g. at the Triennale in Milan. In particular, his theoretical expertise on the relationship of color and light turned creations like “LOKKI†into innovative and timeless classics that, in aesthetic terms, continues spellbind today. He was one of the first Designers in Finland to use plastic and acryl as material for lamps.

29.1.2010 Stockholm Northern Light Fair 2010
INNOLUX DESIGN Lighting Collection and INNOSOL Bright Light therapy lamps will be presented in Stockholm at the Northern Light Fair 2010 on 9 February 13 February 2010, in hall C 01:24.
INNOLUX DESIGN Lighting Collection represents esteemed, timeless Finnish classics by recognized Finnish designers as well as modern light fixtures created by some of the top-end contemporary Finnish designers. Designer names include award winners Eero Aarnio, Finnish Young Designer of the Year 2009 Terhi Tuominen and Eero Sairanen. Classic lamps, which have been taken in to reproduction were designed by Yki Nummi and Lisa Johansson-Pape.

25.9.2009 The international furnishing show IMM Cologne 2010
INNOLUX DESIGN Lighting Collection will be presented in imm Cologne international furnishing show on 19 January - 24 January 2010, ˜imm-pure'; hall 11.1, E - 041
Eero Aarnio, Brita Flander, Finnish Young Designer of the Year 2009 Terhi Tuominen, Milla Björk-Vartiainen, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Yki Nummi and Eero Sairanen to name a few.
INNOLUX DESIGN lighting ensures excellent illumination and warm ambience both for home and public interiors. A particular attention is paid to the stylish design and functionality. INNOLUX DESIGN Lighting Collection is Finnish, well thought and pure design " lamps that make their owners feel good.
The international furnishing show is open to the professionals from Tuesday to Sunday 19-24 Jaunary 2010. For the public the door are open from Saturday to Sunday 23-24 January 2010.

27.8.2009 im memoriam Eero Sairanen
To our great grief, our longtime designer, cooperation colleague, Eero Sairanen passed away at the age of 44 years by accident in August 2009.
Eero was born in 1965. He was well-known for his elegant interior objects which he designed for European interior design collections. In his design he applied innovative solutions both in terms of forms and manufacturing techniques.
Sairanen studied at the University of Art and Design Helsinki and managed his own industrial design studio in Helsinki. In his lamp design Sairanen called out the natural and sensitive shapes from nature " the last designs were named Kotilo (Shell) and Tulppaani (Tulip), which are in Innojok';s fall 2009 production. Talented designer Sairanen';s lamps will be introduced in our stand at the Habitare 2009 exhibition.
We will be missing Eero';s creativity, enthusiasm, devotion to design and his ceaseless energy.

3.3.2009 Manufacturing- and exclusive sales rights regardin Johansson-Pape and Y. Nummi
Innojok Oy has signed a manufacturing and sales agreement for the lighting fixtures of Lisa Johansson-Pape and Yki Nummi.
Innojok Oy and the rights-holder of Lisa Johansson-Pape have entered into an agreement on 5 February 2009. Innojok Oy and estate of Yki Nummi have entered into an agreement on 12 September 2007.
Both agreements bestow the manufacturing- and exclusive sales rights of the light fixture designs produced by Lisa Johansson-Pape and Yki Nummi to Innojok Oy.
