INNOLUX DESIGN lamp range at Cologne’s international furniture fair:
• Manhattan brings the dimension of design to bright light therapy
• Akana listed in the “hit guide”
One of the new items in the INNOLUX DESIGN range is Pauli Partanen’s versatile and adjustable Manhattan designer bright light lamp. Thanks to its dimmer, this device can be used both as an effective bright light therapy device, and as atmospheric interior lighting. Other lights in the INNOSOL range of designer bright light lamps are the Origo, designed by Eero Aarnio, and the Kubo, winner of the red dot design award. INNOLUX DESIGN Bright light therapy lamps are taking the Bright light therapy into a new dimension. As a pioneer we have combined world class design with medically certified bright light therapy lamps, now all in one form.
Alongside its designer bright light lamps, we will also be presenting other new lights at the fair. The Akana, designed by Timo Niskanen, has been included as a major new innovation in the fair’s “hit guide”. The inventive suspension of the Akana lamp allows it to be hung in three different positions, which changes its essence and directs the light in the desired direction. More of the modern innovations on display are the Zio, Zeneos and Zone lamps by Martti Jännes. The geometrically inspired three-dimensionality of the Zio and Zeneos ceiling lamps is based on the controlled combination of triangles and hexagons. The multi-dimensional form of the Zone lamp’s shade allows it to be hung as a ceiling lamp or used as a table or wall light.
At our stand you will also be able to see the other contemporary lights from our INNOLUX DESIGN range, designed by Teija Marjamaa, Eero Sairanen and the design-award-winning Brita Flander and Terhi Tuominen. Classic designs by the multi-award-winning designers Yki Nummi and Lisa Johansson-Pape, taken into production again by Innojok, will also be on display.
INNOLUX DESIGN is on display at Cologne’s international fair in hall 11, also known as “imm pure”, which showcases the cutting edge of interior design products. In the design hall you can pick up unique ideas to make your home more cosy, as well as interior design products.
The fair is open to professionals from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 January 2011, and it opens to the general public from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 January.

In autumn 2010, we also began exporting Bright Light Therapy lamps to Canada. For us at Innojok, the most important qualities of a designer lamp are good design, exceptional quality of light and energy efficiency. Several of our designers and our lamps have received prizes and awards over the years. Innojok is growing strongly, and our next significant development is the building of our new logistics centre close to Helsinki, centre will be ready in 2011. Innojok's business idea can be expressed with the words 'Light, Vitality and Performance'. In an appropriately lit environment, people feel well and can work effectively and safely - the right light can also create a pleasant and atmospheric environment.
